From undergraduate certificates to postgraduate research degrees, whether full-time or part-time, SMBC offers academic depth with flexibility.
Our courses are delivered in ways that align with our values – with an emphasis on deep, transformative biblical knowledge and application; learning in an interdenominational community; and growing ministry competencies and cultural intelligence.
Whilst each course has solid biblical foundations and preparation for ministry and mission, each course has different requirements and emphasis. Most courses have opportunities to progress to further study as well as a number of exit points. SMBC also offers a range of study modes – from daytime and evening lectures to intensive mode study to off-campus study (live online).
SMBC seeks to stay in touch with Australian churches and parachurch ministries, as well as a wide range of mission agencies, to continually ensure our courses are preparing our students appropriately for their future vocations and ministry opportunities.
Note: All our courses are Australian College of Theology (ACT) courses, except for the Certificate in Bible and Mission (CBM) and the Introductory Certificate in Christian Studies (ICCS), which are SMBC awards. Please go to Units for information on our individual units (subjects).
