It can be a life-giving experience to share the Bible with another person. The skills you will gain in understanding, explaining and applying the Bible in this unit will be at the core of all word-based ministry – whether you’re leading small groups, teaching children and youth, or chatting about the gospel with your friends.
This unit aims to introduce you to the exciting world of preaching. You will:
- develop your understanding of the theology of preaching,
- gain tools to help you discover the content, function and relevance of biblical texts,
- understand and apply the crucial steps involved in structuring and preparing a sermon from a Biblical passage.
